IntegrationsWhatsApp (business line)

WhatsApp business line

Your workspace can run a business number that enrolled guests, staff, and vendors text. The agent handles messages according to each person’s role and the workspace’s delivery settings. This setup happens in the workspace; you do not paste a WhatsApp API key into the business integrations panel.

Choose your number

A Tangle-managed number — select an available WhatsApp line from Business phone. Availability depends on your workspace. If the section says Not available, ask Tangle to enable it.

Your own WhatsApp Business number — authorize the business account through Meta, select the number, then complete the separate manager-phone verification below.

Connect it in your workspace

  1. Open your Hospitality workspace as an owner or manager and go to Connections.
  2. If using your own number, open WhatsApp Business, choose Connect WhatsApp Business, then Continue with Meta. Complete Meta’s authorization, choose the Business account and WhatsApp number, and select Use this number.
  3. In Business phone, select your available WhatsApp line and choose Verify my phone. This step also applies to a Tangle-managed line.
  4. From your own manager or owner handset, send the exact TEST text to the destination displayed in the workspace. Then reply to the code you receive. Follow the displayed instructions; do not substitute a generic hello or send the code from another phone.
  5. Select I replied to the code if the status has not refreshed. After verification succeeds, choose Connect line. If the challenge expired, choose Get a new code and use the new TEST text.
  6. When the line shows Connected, add the intended guests, staff, and vendors from People and follow their enrollment instructions.

The TEST/reply challenge proves control of your manager handset. It is separate from authorizing a WhatsApp Business account and number through Meta; completing one does not complete the other.

Good to know

  • Connections contains business phone setup. Integrations is the separate page for Cloudbeds, PriceLabs, and Deepgram.
  • Replies and outbound requests follow the workspace’s mode, roles, approval rules, and recipient consent. Do not assume every guest reply requires a manager’s approval.
  • Follow the phone opt-in instructions shown for each enrolled person before expecting approved messages or reminders to reach them.
  • Conversation and action records in the workspace help you check what was received, approved, or sent. Verify the status of a specific message rather than assuming that connecting a line proves delivery.
